| This course is focused on theories and practices in patent infringement assessment, and is to train the students the drafting ability in evidential report for patent infringement analysis. It will be better that students in this course have (but not limited to) background of Patent Law. Important articles in Patent Act will be reviewed.
Based on patent infringement assessment guideline, this course will includes several topics: (1) claim construction / claim interpretation, (2) literal infringement / all elements rule, (3) doctrine of equivalent / reverse doctrine of equivalent, (4) prior art defense, and (5) drafting evidential report for patent infringement analysis.
This course will also consider the invitation of experts to present the practical experience.
