Description This course aims to explore the complex ethical, legal, and social challenges brought about by the rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Starting from an understanding of the fundamental concepts and capabilities of AI, we will analyze ethical dilemmas related to bias and fairness, transparency and explainability, accountability, privacy protection, autonomy, and the impact on labor markets and social structures. The course will examine how existing legal frameworks—such as tort law, intellectual property rights, anti-discrimination laws, and data protection—apply to AI, with a focus on emerging AI-specific regulations and governance strategies worldwide.
