| The course may also be called as Solid-state Devices and "functional ceramics", because of the special function applied in practical circuits; through the responses caused by pressure force, sound, moisture, temperature and different gas, the fine electronic ceramics may also be called "sensing ceramics". In this course, semiconducting ceramics, the dielectric ceramics, piezoelectric ceramics, pyroelectric ceramics and magnetic ceramics will be introduced with their applications. This course mainly includes basic concepts of semiconductor device physics to solid state electronic devices applications.
