| Description
| This course introduces the key technologies and future developments of next-generation communications (Beyond 5G / 6G), emphasizing the paradigm shift from “connected things” to “connected intelligence.” The course covers core 6G technologies, including AI-native networks and semantic communications, as well as the integration of terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks (NTN). Topics include system design for low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites, high-altitude platforms (HAPS), and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), along with key mechanisms for dynamic resource allocation and cross-network orchestration. In addition, the course explores the convergence of 6G with edge computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital twins. Application domains such as smart cities, smart healthcare, immersive systems (metaverse), and autonomous systems will also be discussed. Through recent research paper reading and project-based learning, students will develop the ability to analyze and design next
