| Professional Internship aims to provide English-major students with opportunities to work at off-campus companies and organizations within the private and public sector. The substantial input and experiences gained by working with field professionals are to help students explore their career aptitude, acquire career essentials and develop positive attitude for career success. Internships are monitored and assessed. Both school advisor(s) and organization supervisor(s) are responsible for guiding and evaluating student interns. Students who choose to work in summer are required to complete 320 hours of work, and are entitled to two academic credits upon successful completion of internship. Intern tasks and duties will depend on organization size, structure, types of work, business and industry. Job-related benefits and other forms of remuneration vary among organizations.
