Description Ecology has been regarded as merely a pragmatic and utilitarian knowledge in applying it to environmental planning. Whilst such a view causes dilemma to move forwards a more fundamentally recognition in facing the increasingly divergent value involved with environment. Environmental thinking proved to be relevant to the shaping of man-made landscape and ascribed to the environmental deterioration is the root to the various orientations to landscape design. The course links environmental philosophy with landscape creating in the hope of providing a more fundamental and consistent design vision for landscape profession.
