| This course teaches students the process of conducting management consulting through business research methods, the basic skills possessed by a management consultant and the criteria for effective communication. Topics covered by this course are: (1) Types and approaches of business research, (2) Scope and purpose of management consulting, (3) Duties and roles of a consultant, (4) Consulting process (5) Developing a consulting proposal and drafting a contract, (6) Design of questionnaire survey, (7) Interview and presentation skills, and (8) Writing of a consulting report. Each student needs to conduct a consulting project to demonstrate his/her understanding of the research methods, consulting and communication skills learned in this course.
