Description It is projected that by 2050, over 70% of the global population will reside in urban areas, with half of the world’s inhabitants already living in cities today. The biodiversity of our planet forms the essential foundation that supports our economic, cultural, environmental, and emotional well-being. As urbanization continues to reshape our world, integrating nature into urban design becomes increasingly vital. Green spaces, natural pathways, and nature-inspired solutions will be key to developing cities where both people and the planet can flourish together. This course begins with ecological thinking and examines how architecture can harmonize with biodiversity conservation.
