3523003 Polymerization and Synthetic Fiber Spinning 4.0 4
Description The aim of this course is to understand the synthetic method of man-made fibers. The theoretical foundation of step growth and chain growth mechanism of polymer fiber are elucidated. Copolymerization theory in fiber application are discussed also. Finally, the structure-properties relationship in fiber science and fiber chemistry will be discussed. These fibers include Rayon, Acrylics, polyester, nylon, spandex, polyolefin, superfine fiber, liquid crystal polymer, cotton, wool, and acetic fiber.
