| On the basis of knowledge from the principle of textile finishing,various experiments are carried out. Different instruments are used to measure and study their functional performance and effect. The practices include pretreatmwnt such as scouring, bleaching, mercerizing and Alkali deweight for synthetic fiber, Levelling and fastness of dyeing, Color yield, sharpness of printing, Shrinkage and crease resistance for cotton, Softening and antistatic treatment for synthetic fiber, Special functional finishing such as water repellency, oil resistance, flame retardancy, soil resistance and so on are also studied.
