| This lecture is designed to serve those students in textile engineering and mechanical engineering who must acquire a working knowledge of organic chemistry, but have no need to all the details of the whole picture. A one-semester course in this field includes the fundamental principles of chemistry, the structure and nomenclature of matter, and the factors which govern molecular behavior. The theory and mechanisms of certain reations might be introduced, especially when it is helpful in answering to some curious student the question "why" of organic chemistry.
