3504009 Surface Chemistry and Analytical Techniques 2.0 2
Description The purpose of this course is, from chemistry point of view, to discuss the interaction of gas phase molecules with solid surfaces. This includes surface structures, adsorption/desorption, surface bonding and reaction. The following surface analytical techniques: X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Auger electron spectroscopy (AES), Low energy electron diffraction spectroscopy (LEED), scanning tunneling microscopy (STM), surface vibrational spectroscopy, and vacuum technology will also be included.
