| This course explores interdisciplinary issues at the intersection of engineering and law from the perspective of civil and construction engineering professionals. Through actual cases involving administrative appeals, mediation, arbitration, and litigation, the course examines common legal disputes and resolution mechanisms in the civil and construction engineering fields. It helps students understand the legal responsibilities and the relationships of rights and obligations involved in professional practice (including site supervisors and professional engineers), as well as those arising from engineering contracts, construction management, quality control, and occupational safety incidents. The course is suitable for senior undergraduate students or master’s-level graduate students interested in practical applications in this field.
