| The purpose of this course is to illustrate the theory of international trade and policy. This course is divided into two parts. Part I explores the classical and modern theories of comparative advantage; economies of scale, imperfect competition and intra-industry trade; factor movements and multinational corporation. Part II reviews the economics of tariffs and non-tariff barriers; the political economy of trade policy; international economic integration; trade policy in developing countries; strategic trade policy.
