| This Chinese language courde is designed as a three-year curriculum, structured into three progressive stages. In the first year, the focus is on foundational Chinese instruction, including pronunciation training, basic vocabulary, sentence patterns and grammar, as well as daily conversational skills. The second year builds upon the first by strengthening paragraph reading and writing skills, and expanding character recognition. In the third year, the emphasis shifts to enhancing students’ listening comprehension, oral communication, and contextual understanding, while integrating topics related to Chinese society and culture.
