| 中文概述 Chinese Description | 本課程將以「人造環境視為實相的再現」的研究範式為基礎，帶領學生以比較研究的觀點，進行跨地域與跨文化的人類聚落與風土建築之討論。世界各地的聚落與風土建築案例將從各種自然因素進行分析，例如氣候、地景、材料與構造等等；此外，其亦將從人類對於外在環境之心靈建構進行分析，包括「世界軸與宇宙十字」、「納入與排除的結構」與「聖域與非聖域」。透過這樣的分析，學生將可以理解人類聚落與風土建築的根本價值，這些價值也將必須落實在創造人類永續居住環境的過程中。 | |||
| 英文概述 English Description | This course will teach students how to conduct inter-regional and inter-cultural research on the worldwide human settlements and vernacular architecture from a comparative perspective as based on the paradigm of the built environment as a representation of realities. Various examples of human settlements and vernacular architecture will be analyzed not only according to the natural factors (e.g. climate, landscape, material and tectonics) but also according to the mental constructs of the external environment (e.g. the "Axis Mundi & Cosmic Cross", the "Including & Excluding Structures" and the "Holy & Unholy Zones"). Such an analysis will enable students to understand the intrinsic values of human settlements and vernacular architecture that should be embodied in the establishment of a sustainable built environment for human beings. | |||
