本課程主要為進階高等固態物理主題:包括基礎量子力學與統計、材料分析、超導、磁性及自旋電子元件、半導體元件、光電元件、原子與分子結構及雷射,低溫、表面和奈米材料等主題,以及探討其在各學科領域之應用。本課程第一部分主要介紹基礎量子力學與統計力學,並將特別介紹一系列巨觀量子效應之實例,包括量子霍爾效應、高溫超導、Bose-Einstein凝聚等有趣的現象。課程中第二部分將介紹奈米材料以及介觀物理、低維度奈米結構之光學性質及電荷傳輸特性。分別從低微體系、定態微擾理論與量子躍遷之關係、共振態與束縛態之關係、散射振幅與束縛定態能級的關係方面深入分析探討,並將特別討論對稱性問題及守恆量分析在散射理論中之重要性;更進一步介紹多體效應中之庫倫效應、協同效應、超導性質以及磁性問題 。最後我們將簡介最新固態物理主題,包括超導、類晶體、自旋玻璃態、稀磁性半導體等新穎領域。課程中藉由深入淺出之例題演練以及投影片及黑板講解,並配合習題演練使學生印象深刻、基礎紮實。以奠定學生日後研究上之深厚基礎。

English Description
Our goal in this course of advanced solid state physics is to provide those aspects of the theory and experiments, which are most needed for a advanced understanding of this topic. The course considers how the large-scale properties of solid materials result from their atomic-scale properties, through methods of quantum mechanics, crystallography, electromagnetism and metallurgy. The first part of this course is to introduce the foundations of quantum mechanics and statistics, including wave-particle duality, expectation value and measurement, eigenstates, boson and fermion. Secondly, we will explain some simple cases about mesoscopic physics of nano-structure materials, including free electron in 1D 2D and 3D, quantum slabs, quantum wires and quantum dots, tunneling and transition problems, transport theory and noise, quantum optics, many body effects and introductory group theory. Finally, we will introduce modern research in this field, including quasicrystals , spintronics , supe
