英文概述 English Description | This course will introduce how to design an appropriate process in pharmaceutical industry form the viewpoint of chemical engineering. The main goal is to introduce students to understand how to use basic knowledge of chemical engineering including unit operation, chemical engineering kinetics and chemical engineering thermodynamics in pharmaceutical industry. The following topics will be introduced and discussed in this course. (1) Chemical engineering kinetics in active pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturing (2) Crystallization design and scale up (3) Scale up of mixing process (4) Design of filtration and drying processes (5) Milling operation (6) Scale up: dos and don’ts (7) Drug solubility (8) Thermodynamics in pharmaceutical industry (9) Controlled release technology. |
