| 中文概述 Chinese Description | 本課程主要目標為加強同學對細胞構造，生物活性以及分子間交互作用的認識。課程內容以真核細胞為探討的主題，動物細胞為主並輔以酵母菌與植物領域的重要研究成果。授課內容將依不同主題由基本概念到最新進展做介紹。除了基本的細胞構造與功能之外，本課程亦會介紹遺傳資訊到蛋白質作用，細胞訊息傳遞與細胞各種調控機制等概念。以期同學在分子層次上對細胞整體運作有進一步的認知。 | |||
| 英文概述 English Description | The major goal of the course, Cell Biology, is to reinforce the understanding of architectures, biological activities and molecular interactions in a living cell. This course focuses on the eukaryotic system, especially the animal cells and the important findings discovered from yeasts and plants. The lectures will be sorted by the topics and each one will cover the basic concepts and the latest events in that field. In addition to the relevance between architecture and function in a cell, concepts of genetic information to protein, cell signaling and regulation are also included in this course to help students to get an overview of the organization and features of the cell with the molecular biology aspect. | |||
