利用光纖來製造雷射與光放大器已經廣泛的應用在各領域,由於光纖具有小的纖核,且光在此介質傳播時,通常具有相當長的傳播距離,此外利用各種鎖模技術所產生的短脈衝或是藉由光放大器,使得在光纖中傳播的光具有相當高的功率或是峰值功率,因此許多非線性光學的現象在光纖中被產生,近來更種新穎的光纖包括利用微結構光纖或稱為光子晶體光纖被廣泛的應用,使得光纖所產生非線性效應更為顯著,本課程將介紹在光纖中各種非線性光學現象產生的原理與其應用。

English Description
Fiber laser and amplifier have been widely used in various fields. Due to its small core and relative long propagation length of fiber and relative large power and peak power light source is used, that is generated from mode-locked technique and amplifier, various nonlinear optical phenomena can be observed through propagation of the fiber. Recently, many novel optical fibers including the microstructured fiber or termed photonic crystal fiber are widely used to cause the advance of the generated nonlinear phenomena. In this course, it will introduce the principle of the generated nonlinear effects and its applications.
