英文概述 English Description | This course is intended as a modern physics for science majors and engineering students who have already completed an introductory calculus-based physics courses. Throughout this course the underlying objectives are twofold:1. To provide simple, clear, and mathematically uncomplicated explanations of physical concepts and theories of modern physics. 2. To clarify and show support for these theories through a broad range of current applications and examples. In this regard, we will explore tunneling phenomena, atomic structure, molecular structure and superconductivity. Since it is one-semester course, we try to make it easier. The mathematics level is not difficult for most part, and we hope students are finally getting to the frontier of physics. |
