English Description | Chuang-tzu is the master figure of Taoism. His awareness of the relativity of all standards and his belief in the equality of all things look different from Confucianism. However, in essence, they are complementary to the understanding of Confucianism, and even inspire some of the later Confucianist ideas. This course intends to focus on Chuang-tzu's absurd remarks and rambling discourses, by which it is hoped that a better understanding of the reciprocity of Taoism and Confucianism can be reached. |
