Course Objective 現代通訊與訊號處理系統仰賴電路、硬體與軟體之間的協同運作，因此通訊工程師應具備必要的軟體設計的能力。本課程以建立此項核心能力為目標，並以C++為語言主要教學語言。學生須於課後投入約150~200小時完成一個通訊軟體設計專題。本課程涵蓋下列主題： 1 通訊軟體特性 2 程序式程式設計 3 物件式程式設計 4 物件導向式程式設計 5 泛型式程式設計：使用C++ 標準模板函式庫(STL) 6 單元測試 7 通訊軟體函式庫 8 通訊軟體設計個案研 9 通訊軟體設計專題

Course Schedule Week1~4 Part I: The basics: Types, variables, strings, console I/O, computations, errors, vectors functions, source files, classes Week5~6 Part II: Input and Output Programming File I/O, I/O streams Graphical output Graphical User Interface (GUI) Programming) Week7~10 Part III: Data structures and algorithms Free store, pointers, and arrays Lists, maps, sorting and searching, vectors, templates The STL Week11~13 Part IV: Software Engineering Issues Software testing and maintenance UML modeling for Object-Oriented Programming Introduction to Design Patterns  Week14~18 Part V: Mobile and Multimedia Communication Software Design Multimedia Communication Application Design Mobile Communication software design, such Android Framework programming

Evaluation and grading policy 6 Project Assignments: 60%, Weekly Lab assignment: 20% Presentation 15% Mini tasks: 5%
