Description Global environmental problems and sustainable development issues must be solved from a systems perspective to avoid shifting problems from one place to another. This course uses systems thinking to explore the relationship among various factors which affecting environment and sustainable development. Modeling techniques, such as system dynamic modeling (i.e. Stalla) and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) will be used for simulating the actual environmental and sustainable problems. Students will learn the interrelation between the environment and the Earth and understand both theory and practices of solving environmental and sustainable problems.
